How Often Should You Get Your Brows Waxed?
Ever wonder how often you need to get your brows waxed to keep them looking their best?
The answer is really simple: you get them waxed whenever you see hair that you don't want there.
But let me give you some more specific guidance based on what I tell my clients at the spa.
The Rule of Thumb
Here's a quick rule you can follow at home: if you put a thumb between your brows, you're allowed to tweeze that out. But nothing else.
That's it. Just the hair between your brows. Everything else? Leave it for your waxing appointment.
The Standard Recommendation: Once a Month
I like to recommend that my clients come back at least once a month to get their brows waxed.
This keeps your brows looking clean, shaped, and intentional without letting too much hair grow back.
Some People Need It More Often
Everyone's hair grows at different rates. Some people can go four to six weeks between appointments. Others need it more frequently.
For example, I tend to get mine waxed every two to three weeks because I'm a hairy beast and I need it. It really just depends on your preference and the look you're going for.
If You're in Brow Recovery
If you're in brow recovery (meaning you've over-plucked or over-waxed in the past and you're trying to grow your brows back), I recommend not coming back any earlier than every four weeks. Typically, we say every six weeks.
This gives your brows time to grow back fully so we can reshape them properly without removing too much.
The Bottom Line
How often you get your brows waxed depends on:
How fast your hair grows
The look you're going for
Whether you're in brow recovery or maintenance mode
When in doubt, book once a month. We'll take care of the rest.
Hope that helps. We'll see you at the spa!
